Dallas Short

Dallas Short, of Country Living Realty, based in Cocke County and surrounding East Tennessee areas, is a 12+ year veteran of the real estate industry and has represented clients from around the world in numerous real estate transactions. Dallas Short has built a solid foundation of clients through his professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to always put his client’s needs first.
Growing up in a small town in Southern Ohio, Dallas Short was raised with strong values and a resilient work ethic. After graduating high school in Columbus Ohio, he went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1993 – 1997. After being honorably discharged he went to work for a General Contractor building houses in Malibu California. Not long after he noticed a need for private property management in Malibu and the surrounding Los Angles areas. He decided to start his first business in 1998 doing just that managing private homes, overseeing the day-to-day function and client needs. After years honing his craft in private property management, he decided in 2010 to acquire a California real estate license, which he still holds active today. Now that Tennessee is his place of residence and where he now calls home, he took it upon himself to get his Tennessee Real Estate license. Passionate about customer service, architecture, and design, Dallas Short has continued to leverage his knowledge and experience to exceed his client’s expectations.
Active in the community, Dallas Short is a proud part of the Steele Away Home Foster Organization located in Newport Tennessee. He has been fostering animals in hopes to finding them a permanent home, so far, it’s been a success. His passion has been helping others and volunteering often while he lived in California. He looks forward to becoming part of the community now that he resides in East Tennessee. It’s important that we take the time to not only take care of our little slice of Heaven, but to take the time to help our Family, Friends, Neighbors, and Community.”
In his free time, Dallas Short is an avid beekeeper and adventure seeking enthusiast. Spending time on his farm here in the foothills of East Tennessee, has given him the ability to raise honeybees, grow his own food, learn the ways of the Elder Farmers, and to hear the stories from the Storytellers of Yesteryear. Spending quality time with his Friends and Family as well as his Foster Animals is not something Dallas Short takes for granted. He quotes, “As a society, and a community it’s important to listen, and learn from the ones that came before us. Being here in the East Tennessee area has
taught me just that more than ever. I’m blessed and thankful for such amazing people that have become good friends and bestowed their knowledge upon me each and every day.”
Now that he has gone through the home buying experience here in Tennessee, he has witnessed firsthand what went wrong and what went right. He looks forward to helping his clients understand the process and set them up with all the tools to make the home selling & buying a positive experience.
